I will be selective in the hiring of assassins. Anyone who attempt to strike down the hero the first instant his back is turned will not even be considered for the job.
Wouldn't you want the hero killed as soon as possible? Lololol...or maybe that wouldn't make a good story.
Haven't you seen how often that attempt at a quick kill lead to the death of the assassin? A good assassin watches, bides his time, and only strikes when success is both unexpected and guaranteed.
