Paraprosdokians
Some humour are straight forward. You see, or hear them and you burst out laughing. Others are more subtle. You need a second or two, to see the humour in them.
Paraprosdokians are an example, the punch line is dropped a second or two later, giving what was said an entire different meaning, where therein lies the humour. You will notice a lot of these in comedy shows. Stand Up comedians use them a lot to get the laughs too.
Keep a few of these paraprosdokians in mind, to impress your friends with your sense of humour. Share them at a party, or a gathering, or bring a spot of laughter into someone’s life, and brighten up someone’s day. Everyone likes a person with a sense of humour. You might become very popular.

Oh, then paraprosdokian is a perfect fit for your blog sir Vincent! I've looked up alot of New Testament words to find their Greek meaning so I recognized it as being Greek.
Is your government shutting everything down over there yet because of the coronavirus?
Shutting everything down? No. Life goes on for most. Only places where the coronavirus were detected are shut for cleaning, and sanitizing.
Really? Well Italy is shutting everything down and it seems to be working so I figured the rest of the world would follow that model. I think we will here too but I hope it's only for a couple of weeks and not months.
I think our government did a good job in containing the virus. Only venues where people are infected have to close for 14 days. Events with crowds are advised to cancel. Otherwise, it's pretty much life as per normal.
Tourists from countries with high infection are banned. Locals returning from those countries will be required to self quarantine for 14 days.
Well that all sounds very good sir Vincent. I hope those measures are enough to thin the thing out but aren't the streets over there always crowded with people, at least at night in some areas?
Are you going to curtail your hectic social life? I know it's going to disappoint some people but you have to be wise. lol.
Some people have stopped going out unless necessary. So there is not too many people about these days.
