btw, I may understand why your wife would get angry when you scare her even though she loves scary movies. I believe it's because she can control her experience when watching movie, what kind of scary movie, when she chooses to see it and can walk away anytime, plus she knows it's happening. Whereas with your bandit "attacks" they're a surprise and that alone could make something terrifying even if you don't mean it to be.

The arm writing on the other hand, is benign and funny ;-)
