It's Still Going On

Yes I'm here just in time, like superman, not to rescue you, but make you all aware of interesting and sometimes pointless things happening in the world.

Everyone might already have heard about the school walkout's that took place across the US yesterday. Well if you are from there, that's probably all you have seen for the last 12 hours straight, thanks to mainstream media. So of us however don't get bombarded with so much propaganda, seeing as we're all here on this platform.

Kids from all over the decided to ditch school yesterday and take to the streets to demand more gun control from the government after what happened a few weeks ago. I really don't feel like explaining why it is probably incredibly stupid to take advise from children who don't seem to know what the current gun laws are. When they don't know what the difference is between automatic and semi automatic fire arms, or even why people should be allowed to defend themselves, then it's pretty much just protesting out of sheer ignorance because others are doing so.

"In 1911, Turkey established gun control. From 1915 to 1917, 1.5 million Armenians, unable to defend themselves, were exterminated." - Joe Wurzelbacher

You can't expect these children to know any better, just a few months ago they were protesting police brutality, but today it's perfectly fine for only the police to have guns, the same people they have been yelling at for the last few years. Do you notice a complete lack of critical thought happening here?

The meme below perfectly explains the complete government conformity of what exactly is happening here. The fact the none of the government agencies acted to stop this from happening has absolutely no baring on this narrative. This happened because government did not enforce the law, yet now they want more laws? Please tell me I'm not the only one who things this is the most retarded thinking possible. Take a look at how great a job the government has done with the drug problem, but yeah they really going to take the gun business seriously this time round.

Best that children not get to make decisions on topics they have no understanding of.

"Gun control means control. It means control for the government and the government starts controlling the people." - Luke Scott

I have no issue with students speaking out “if” they are informed and their comments make sense. This walkout frustrates me so much because only about 10% of the kids that are participating have any clue why they are even out there. They may know about the tragedy but they don’t know the issues, not truely. I remember when I was in high school and there was something going on at the time (I don’t even remember what) and some student sdecided that we should all walk out for an afternoon to make a point. So yes, we all did it. Why was I out there? An afternoon out of school of course. Like I said, I don’t even know what we were out there for anymore. I’m thinking that a significant number of these students is enjoying a break from school piggybacked on a real tragedy. Not ok!

Thanks for info I agree with you
