The Media Went Too Far

I was going to share my thoughts on this Kanye West incident from the end of last week, but the thought has become something much bigger.

So I think I will rather save that for tomorrow, in my Thought of the Day post, but what I want to ask those who watched the meeting between Trump and Kayne, and please let me know your thoughts in the comments below. I personally think that anytime a president does one of these meet ups with a celebrity, it's nothing more than getting some free publicity. What I'm not big on is this mainstream media hypocrisy, they praised any and every celebrity that met with Obama, but because it's Trump, it's basically the end of the world. Look at the difference between the announcement of Taylor Swift backing the democrats and the Kanye backing Trump. The difference is night and day, she was hailed as a hero, the savior of the world, the media went on like she was personally going around curing cancer with hugs. They didn't do the same with Mr West, oh no, that was a much different story. There should be no misunderstanding that there is an outright bias towards anything with Trump, the problem is that not enough people actually have a problem with it, until it's too late and they wonder how we got here.

Every once in a while, out of the deepest and dankest parts of the internet, something really magical happens, almost like how fairies are created. If you are not aware of how they come to be, let me give you a quote from someone who knows all too well, J. M. Barrie, the author of Peter Pan. "When a new baby laughs for the first time a new fairy is born, and as there are always new babies there are always new fairies." That is almost exactly how new memes are created, when a shit poster laughs, that laugh becomes a new meme. The new meme is the NPC meme, which is a gaming term for non-player characters. These are usually characters with blank stare and facial expression, meant to represent people who do not think for themselves or are incapable of having an internal monologue or use basic things like logic or reason. One of the big reasons this meme blew us was because as soon as you tell the internet not to do something, and especially when that something is the most idiotic thing in the world, the internet will makes it's life mission to do what you just told it not to.

That happened when user on twitter posted a tweet accusing those who "refer to living humans being as NPCs" as being "facist", you can only imagine what happened next.
