"This is so not beautiful"

How you look is very important - by V, 4 years old.

After a sweaty day at the outdoor fields, the class were asked to change out of their sweaty clothes. V, being a 4 year old little girl who is developing a mind of her own dress sense, is usually clad in pink with either butterflies, polka dots or flowers. She has a one favourite dress - a pink dress with baby avocados on it.

Like this - but with avocados on them. And the little avocados had smiley faces on it.

"It's beautiful," V says.

So when V emptied her bag and found a plain old grey t-shirt to wear with her bright pink fuchsia leggings, she was crestfallen.

Me: What's wrong, V?
V: It's so not beautiful.
Me: What do you mean?
V: (Dances around the room like Oprah during her favourite things giveaway and pointing at different things around the room)

"This is beautiful, this is beautiful, this is beautiful, this is beautiful," V yells
(Points to blah old grey t-shirt) And this is SO NOOOOTTT BEEYOOOTIFULL.

We made sure Mom buried that old grey t-shirt and it was never to be seen again.
