Man that used to happen to me all the time in Oz! Jump in the car after a day at the beach and weld your legs to the seats and then the steering wheel. Still, it beats freezing your ass off like here!

The wheel is hot but nothing compares to the metal piece of the seat belt thats been sitting in the sun to make you scream like a little girl when it touches your bare skin.
can officially say I've never experienced this, here in England it'd be that cold, the steering wheel would be brittle and crumble :/
