The current downtrend on Steemit can be attributed to the bear market and the recent hard fork. Of course, Steemit is not the sole use case for this blockchain as many would be led to believe. There are other dapps on the platform.

Since you are an artist, have you tried exploring different Discord servers where various communities are based in? The unfortunate side effect of Steemit not having community features as it should is that communities tend to be their own islands off the chain and one would have to look for them.
