Don't Do Steem Fulltime; you will starve!

So you're tired of trying to fight with millions of people on overcrowded social media sites to get your voice heard. You're tired of your Youtube videos only getting five views and no one reading your blogs. Then you discover Steemit. It is seems to be the answer to all of your troubles. Its only a year old (you could kick yourself for not joining Youtube when it was just a year old) and even better, they will pay YOU money for YOUR posts! Excitedly, you rush over to make an account immediately! Then it starts; you find out that there is a waiting list. No worry, surely it will only be a couple hours. After all, other people's post talk about how fast they were admitted in. So you wait, and wait, and wait. Your excitement turns to depression then turns to anger. But just when you were about to send an angry e-mail to find what is taking so long, you are accepted in. "Maybe I was a bit too quick to anger" you think to yourself. You continue to make your account and you find out that your password reminds you of that town with the longest name in the world "Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch" Finally, you make your first post. Now the money will start rolling in! Immediately, you get an up vote and one cent! Then you get another vote an two cents! "This is easy" you think. But then the up votes stop, hours pass by. "What ever could be wrong" you think. "I heard that people make hundreds of dollars per post." Then the most horrible thing happens. You notice that your two cents has gone down to one! And you realize that maybe you shouldn't have quit your job.
