Aubrey Plaza is one of those actresses that really typecast herself. I love her roles, but I don't think she'll be able to find much in the way of roles aside from the sorta-creepy-but-still-hilarious-dark-humor-cynic role.
Yes, very specific indeed. She may be able to adapt if she opens up to more roles. However, it's not like that specific role is short of demand. Sure, it's not as profitable as adapting to bigger roles, but I don't think she'll ever be out of a job as long as dark quirky humor is enjoyed. And I think it's on the rise with postmodernism being on the table.
