I think I missed the joke... I laughed on ‘Yut’ cos I never read yes expressed like that. I think I’ll try to use that in a future joke if that’s ok. It doesn’t take much to make me laugh though, I clearly don’t get out much... XD

Haha I think "yut" was something I picked up around Marines, I don't use it that much dont even know why I chose to use it there.
It was amusing because: well "dapp" games are games built on the Ethereum blockchain that require spending Ethereum (real money) to play. They attract a lot of people hoping to make money, although the odds are always stacked tremendously high against you so it wouldn't be wise to play them unless it's worth it to you for the fun. Each of those dapps has a discord channel that its loyal members hang out and chat in. However, people looking to promote their own dapps visit everyone else's Discord channels and start DMing (direct messaging) everyone in the room to try to sell their own product. Usually it results in everyone getting pissed off and clamoring for a moderator to ban that individual. However this time I was able to get the dapp salesman to laugh since he was trying a sales pitch angle where he started off asking if I knew of any good new dapps to play (which was leading to him pitching his own) but instead I offered to make a game where he sent me 1 eth and I sent him 0.5 eth back.
Sooooo not that funny when it is explained perhaps, and I guess most people wouldn't know what any of it was about unless you spent a lot of time in the dapp gaming space.
But have fun with yut! I would rank it about the same as "yarp" which if you hear it used was taken from the comedy "Hot Fuzz"

This explanation does add a useful context to the nature of convo, and it makes it even funnier for me. Turn the tables, but do it in a nice, friendly way. Good job!

Thank you for that comprehensive explanation. I should probably open an Etherium account, if only so I know what people talk about. But for now, I love my time on steemit and too blasé about crypto generally tbh.

I do love learning military slang though, and you Marines would be the leaders in the field. I am writing a novel featuring a Marine, and I was actually going to change him into another branch of military. I still might, but I always enjoy encountering a Marine.

I checked your blog too, and it looks like you like humour. So maybe consider checking out @comedyopenmic Round 17? It’s very open as far as what you submit. Anything that makes you laugh that isn’t spamming. :)

Finally, I see you are using Procreate! I am practicing with it myself!

"Cryptokitties" seems to be the easiest place for a blockchain newbie to have some fun, so if you install a browser wallet which is as easy as going to google chrome store and downloading "Metamask" then go to Cryptokitties.co and start an account (also very simple) then let me know when you are ready, I'll send you some free cryptokitties. You won't be able to do anything without ethereum in your wallet, but you can own something in a dapp =p
I checked out comedyopenmic and it looks quite interesting. I guess I'll try to submit something although it was discouraging a couple months ago when I was trying to upload stuff that I found humorous and the only notice I got was the bots that I payed to notice me =p
I love Procreate! I highly encourage you to play around more with it. Use some colors and brushes! Play with layers! Layers are the crucial part to building any complicated piece cause you can just put each element whether it's a shape, an atmospheric effect, or a background, into a different layer, then alter or remove them however you like, individually without needing to worry about messing up other stuff.
