HELP!!! Just got our first elf on the shelf! Need ideas and advice! | Interactive Post: Posting pictures of used suggestions in the comments.
We drank the kool-aid!
Seems like all the kids in our oldest daughters class participate in the "elf on the shelf" game. She has begging us to get one the last two years and mom has until now deemed it too much of a hassle.
We finally caved and thought it would be funny to reach out to the steemit community for ideas and post pictures of the attempts to carry them out!
There are 22 days left until the big man arrives so comment away! Horror stories are welcome also, from the people I have talked with a lot tend to remember in the middle of the night that they forgot to move it.
So far he has only gotten a beer with me at the pub. Not off to a great start!
Thanks in advance!

Lol! I'd recommend no elf and beers with the children. :) you are welcome to follow me and even copy my ideas!
Honestly this is the time to let your imagination fly! Use what you have at home. Toys the children have, candies, use the holiday decorations. Put the elf to play games! There is no limit to it really!
Most importantly, use the elf to your advantage! Have your children missbehaved?write them a naughty letter from Santa which the elf brings. Remind them the elf is watching. My daughter wakes up even before i call her to find the elf. Just have fun with it! Good luck! :)
tonight is our first night getting creative. I will do the candies idea and post it on here later on, thanks!
Kegel the elf is watching you.
Yea, just read the book. This will be my go to for the next month when she acts up. Appreciation and gratitude tends to be the theme this time of year.
