No Crock Pot meal Tuesday
Nothing like getting sprung on you that you will be without power for 6 hours a day before it happens. So with all the construction in the Valley, or damage, or who just knows upgrades. It seems my power grid will be getting shut off. Middle of the summer, great time to do it right, nothing like waiting till it is the hottest part of the year. But hey we are here, and just got done planning our meals out for the week, and Tuesday happened to be a crock pot one. Well that is going to be a no go, and I just hope my house doesn't get up to 90 degrees. 
Also kinda funny they tape a piece of paper to your front door, no call, no email, just front door. Well I never use my front door, only found out because I randomly walked by and saw it.
We had the same problem twice, one for 8 hours and the other for 6 hours. We have natural gas as well as electricity and so could still heat meals, but we were worried about the food in the freezer thawing. We kept the doors closed and didn't lose anything.
Ya, that is the biggest worry, I have a chest freezer and we stock up on food on sale.
Yes we do that too, especially when there is a drought
