RE: Embracing Linear Equality on Steem: Unlearning the Sucker & Maximising the Arsehole in Me

The way I see it is that curation being more profitable will make people actually curate for good content so as to get the "finders" fee for being the first to give it exposure. It will stop people from mindlessly voting because people will be "searching" and actually curating the content since it's more profitable to find good content. People will still sell their votes sure but people might not be as willing to do it now that they can get better rewards from curation if they are the first one to vote on a certain thing, which works only in favour of those that vote first or among the first for good content.

People, most people will go for the profit and we will be right back to were we started, a few getting rich.. but this is how we are conditioned, this is how our world operates. To make this platform fair we would all have to be enlightened....I don’t see that happening, this is the desire realm...hehehe

If curators make the most profits why should I create articles and art?

Well first off, people create articles and art despite not making money, you should do what you want to do because you like to do it if you like to make art and make money off if you can do it and if you can but I see a conflict of purpose as if your making art for art's sake it doesn't come with the prerequisite that it's not art if you don't make money, and if you like making money more than making art then maybe look into making money and not art, but lastly if you have a problem with people making more money by giving others exposure than I suppose you need to realize that it doesn't stop you from making art/articles AND curating good art and articles.
