Mystery of the giant hole in Siberia !!

in #funny7 years ago

As of July 16, 2014 A huge unexplained crater appeared in Siberia, in northern Russia,The strange appearance of the hole gives rise to Internet theories ranging from a UFO landing to a large meteor that hit the earth.

The hole in question measures approximately 80 m in diameter, very deep and recent: the "giant hole" discovered by Russian researchers in northern Siberia on the Yamal Peninsula is surprising.

But what is the origin of this perforation of some 80 m in diameter, with vertical walls, discovered by a team flying in helicopter in the far north of Siberia.

To try to understand this strange phenomenon, Russian scientists have decided to go down to study them. They had to wait for winter to get the soil hard enough to withstand the weight of their equipment.

A dozen scientists and researchers took part in the expedition headed by Vladimir Pushkarev, Director of the Russian Center for Arctic Exploration. They managed to descend a dozen meters to arrive ... on a frozen lake.

The scientists were able to take samples of its water, but also rock and indoor air. Their analysis could allow in a few months, to know more about the appearance of these giant holes.

A plausible theory has already been advanced. These craters would be due to global warming. Indeed, in this part of Siberia soils are often frozen, melting underground ice release gas that eventually explode the ground surface.

Discovered recently in Siberia by a helicopter, the giant hole of the Yamal Peninsula would be the result of excessive pressure in the basement.
The giant hole of the Yamal Peninsula or fanned the imagination of the curious of the whole world. It must be said that with its 80 meters in diameter, the gigantic cavity represents a mystery as unfathomable as its depth. Scientists who arrived there, however, claim to have solved the riddle of this unusual hole.

What's causing Siberia's mystery craters?

The chasm was neither caused by a meteorite nor a UFO, but by excessive pressure in the basement. Andrei Plekhanov, one of the Russian scientists dispatched to the scene, put forward the hypothesis that the increase of the temperatures in the region would be at the origin of this phenomenon. The researcher has substantiated his theory by the fact that the hole is 80% ice and therefore would be structurally sensitive to rising temperatures.

The most plausible of theories is that climate change has caused an underground explosion due to melting ice, resulting in a mixture of gas, salt and water that would have ignited and exploded. This would explain the dark sides of the hole which could be burn marks.
