One of the best games I’ve played in a long time
One of the best games I’ve played in a long time, A totally immersive experience the combat was great and did not get stale due to the different stances for each type of enemy, even late in the game switching fluidly from one stance to another while fighting multiple different enemies fun and rewarding. Also traveling the map didn’t feel like a chore like other games (red dead redemption) there was always different side quests and collectibles that weren’t just wastes of time but improved your various character stats and then turned in to fast travel points so you never had to spend long periods of time traversing the map. Those things aside the story are what stood out the most, the story of jins journey was very touching between the flashbacks when he was a child sparring with his uncle to fighting side by side with a grieving mother looking for justice for her family. They did a good job not to flood the game with too many characters that are forgotten as soon as the missions over but instead focus on a core few that you build your relationship with throughout the game through their side missions, so by the end of the game you really feel for these characters who have been by your side from the beginning. I’m so glad I ended up reading a few reviews on this game then ultimately buying it, worth every penny probably put over 50 hours into it. I never write reviews but this game was that good.
I have only played about two hours but so far this game is gold. Its an amazing way to have fun as you battle your enemies with classic samurai fights. From the beginning this game starts out with a bang. It doesn't hold anything back and unleashes it's majestic sword combats which i haven't seen before. It feels fresh and leaves me craving more. It's a little slow in some parts but nothing major that would take away from your gaming experience. The game has a skill tree system and its very well balanced. If you want and love progression in customizing a character then this game is for you. As you advanced in the story, your samurai technique will improve. Be advised that I am approaching this review with a clear mind. It does have some flaws but their minor, playing in the open world makes up for those minor flaws. Ghost of Tsushima is without a doubt one of the best ps4 games. In fact, I can proudly say it's the best 2020 game so far as nothing could rival this masterpiece. Yes I know for some readers out there will indeed bring up the last of us part 2. I love the last of us, but I have to be honest that Part ll wasn't the game everyone had envisioned. I give credit to where credit is due and so far Ghost of Tsushima deserves the title of game of the year. You will Not REGRET BUYING IT!!!! My last tip for you is if you do get the game, enjoy the many places this game has to offer. Live in the moment. It also helps if you watch the video from IGN of the 7 things ghost of Tsushima doesn't tell you. It helps a ton. Enjoy the unrivaled masterpiece from a sucker punch.
