[Funfair/FUN] Funfair Technologies Companies Update
It is nice to see a company reaching out to the community to update them on a regular basis. It would be nice if Edgeless could do the same instead of me making these updates with limited information. I might do a comparitive analysis on Funfair and Edgeless in the near future. WE'RE LIVE ON MAINNET! FUNFAIR'S FIRST CASINO
- Funfair is launching their own casino through a subsidiary and is currently under beta-testing.
- What was planned to be a four week beta testing will be extended to ensure extra features such as KYC and to have a more complete product.
- As a reason for running their own casino, Funfair states that "this venture will be used to accelerate our learnings of the platform and token ecosystem, giving us valuable insight into the life of an operator and consumer behavior."
- However, the core of Funfair as a B2B blockchain technology provider will not change.
- Funfair will announce their first B2B casino in a few weeks time.
- Whether this dual B2B, B2C model will work out in tandem with each other, time will tell. However, for the company this is a good strategy as a portfolio.
INNOVATION PRECEDES REGULATION... LEGAL UPDATE
- Talks with UK Gambling Commission is underway. This seems to be at an introductory stage.
- Isle of Man, Gibraltar and Malta licenses are sought after.
- The new company operating the casino will try to get Curacao license. According to FunFair, It takes less time to get them.
PARTNERSHIPS
- A new SVP of business development will join in August.
- Signed up with Spike Gaming, working on integrating their Alice Cooper slot with FunFair platform. One more from Asia is coming!
STRATEGIES
- A commercial whitepaper (2.0) will be available in Q3
COMMUNITY
- Official telegram group launched in Q1. Since its lauch on March 20th the community has grown to 4,600 members.
- First Fun token holder gathering in Hong Kong. Next token holder gathering will be in London
FUNFAIR TEAM
- Team has grown by 15 with a mix of 4 contractors and 11 permanent. Total employees now 41. More will be coming.
