Crocstyle Intermittent Fasting

We once thought that not eating your meal on time and as well as skipping meals especially breakfast was bad for you. It’s conventional and probably outdated thinking that if you eat three times a day you will get healthy but on the contrary there has been a few recent research findings that strongly suggests that intermittent fasting prolongs your life and increases your well being and multiple researches has been made on it.
But we are not here to talk about that, now obviously fasting regularly will indeed as per recent findings lengthen your life but imagine if you don’t eat for years. Now that could kill you, but Imagine if there is an animal that can survive without eating anything for a long period of time. It’s not a common feat as certain animals like snakes and other animals can survive a long time without eating but not as much as our featured reptile. Enter, the Gators!
As I found out, Crocodiles and Alligators can actually last without eating anything by upto Three years!! That’s like having you finishing your Freshman year while an Alligator finishes its meal and by the time you graduate it may be possible that he is just about to eat again for the second time since then!
How its done
So how do they do it? You see Alligators and Crocodiles are quite lethargic ( we can also call them "chill" so we don't offend anybody) by being able to "chill" by a long period of time they can slow down their metabolism therefore being able to last longer without eating but when they do eat, they can definitely do a buffett-eat-all-you-can-style similar to large snakes like Boas.
Did you know ?
Did you know that no matter how scary and truly dangerous these reptiles are, they actually don't have much reported cases of killing humans compared to other known animals like dogs, snakes and of course mosquitoes
This has been a wonderful article to make and even I definitely learned a lot doing my research, I sincerely hope you enjoyed reading this. Till our next article, but for now let me leave you with Wally!
