SteemSTEM and Utopian.io Meet Up in Italy
Come September, less than 2 months away, a group of Steemians from @steemstem and @utopian-io are going to meet up in Italy.
The purpose of the meeting is to visit the Virgo lab located near Pisa in Italy, as well as visiting Florence with all its beautiful architecture filled with historical events. I've been to Florence before and it is a romantic city filled with arts and culture. Sure would like to visit there again.
I know that many Utopian moderators and community managers will be meeting up here for the first time. They've worked together for almost a year via the @Utopian-io platform and now they actually get to see each other face to face. No more just a voice behind a microphone. This is going to be an exciting time for them. I've already planned to visit my family in Canada during September and so will not be able to join up in this momentous gathering.
They have already booked a villa in Lucca, Italy where they can all stay together to have fun working, playing, swimming, and visiting all these cultural places. Be sure to take lots of pictures and do Blog Posts for us.
Just imagine! 30 people will be flying here from all corners of the world. I believe for many of them, it is their first time to Italy. The funds to get everyone for this meetup is quite costly, and so they have set up a @fundition campaign to crowdfund the traveling expenses, including all the visa applications and travel insurances. To support them, you can come to their Fundition Campaign and give them some love by giving them a small donation. Every upvote counts!

The Utopian group will be having a fun global mini hakathon during this time. What this entails, nobody really knows. So stay tuned to find out more so that you too can participate.
