Flood Relief in South Indian state of Kerala - Update 12 - 03/Sep/2018

This is the 12th update post for the Fundition.io project I have created with regards to the fundraising for flood relief activities in the form of the donations to the Chief Minister's Distress Relief Fund in the South Indian State of Kerala.

Updates for last 2 days:
The Chief Minister of Kerala today reiterated that Kerala will bounce back strongly with the help of Malayalis across the globe along with contributions from other state people in India.
He once again sought the help from Union government and from other countries to donate generously to re-build the Kerala state.
The people in relief camps has been decreasing as people are moving back to their houses and as of 31st August, the strength in relief camps got reduced to 28000 which might have got reduced further in these 3 days of September.
The biggest trouble for Kerala right now is not the flood water, but the garbage dumped aftermath the flood and it's been horrible to see the streets in many towns filled with garbage as we can see in below picture.
About 35,717 metric tonnes of garbage has been confirmed to be collected and about 14,297 metric tonnes of that garbage has been biodegradable.
It's notable that this garbage is threatening to be an issue on the health of people as it leads to infections such as rat fever and the same has already claimed lives of 23 people.
Meanwhile, the leptospirosis (rat fever) cases have been increased to 209 from 123 and 73 out of that have been confirmed as leptospirosis and the death toll as of today is 20 because of leptospirosis.
The state health minister held an emergency meeting today to discuss on combating the leptospirosis and said that she has sent directions to all government and private hospital doctors to provide treatment to patients approaching with symptoms of leptospirosis.
The total funds in the Chief Minister's Ditress Relief Fund has been INR 1,032 Crore and the team of delegates from World Bank who had visited Kerala last week are said to have confirmed to provide an interim assistance of INR 838 Crore.
Update on this project's donations and Support:
As we can see in below screenshot, the amount of donations and support through upvotes received is about 80% of the first goal, i.e approximately 393$ of the total first goal of 500$.

Yes, there are good news and also bad news for Kerala right now, as the situation is returning back to normal while they have this new threat of rat fever which is becoming deadly because of the infection spreading out of the garbage thrown out after the flood.
@fundition is always supportive of such causes and we can see many such projects on fundition.io.
Most probably, the first goal will be reached by EOD today or latest by tomorrow and that will be a big achievement for us.

Gradually the situation has been brought under control and people who stayed in relief camps are returning back to their homes or atleast to the location where their houses were. They have the biggest challenge of cleaning their houses and re-constructing the same if it's collapsed due to flood water.
