          What to See in Las Terrenas?

Playa El Portillo: This city is known for having one of the most beautiful beaches in the entire Samaná Peninsula; We are just a few kilometers east of Las Terrenas, where the only all-inclusive resort is located (the Bahía Príncipe chain that some villages on the island); There is also a small airport, but I think it is rare that only domestic flights. The beach is free, of course, characterized by a mangrove and a calm, tranquil and transparent sea, where turtles often come to reproduce and where you can see endemic fish and birds. If you happen to travel out of season (meaning that here is meant for periods not covered between November and March, the best months in which the weather is drier) I recommend bringing mosquito repellent because there is a big risk of Being punzecchiati by myriads of seemingly invisible microzanzare, but very annoying to the back.
