Yeah, actually, it looks like there's some regional variation in the monarchs - the first ones I was looking at never did the yellow to white without black in between - that's why I went to the other - though that one only does the yellow in spots...
Or Black Swallowtail Butterfly caterpillar (I just realized that yellow next to white fits that one better.)
