AHHHHH, you guys...... today my drone arrived! This has been a gadget that I have been wanting to order for a couple years now. I really love the look of aerial photography/film, and I have wanted to get into it. It is so cool and pretty special to see the world from the air and bird's eye view. I finally ordered my travel sized drone thanks to Steemit. I think this will be the perfect companion to document some of my adventures from a different perspective! It is awesome to reinvest my earnings and get something that Steemians would be able to enjoy through my videos (I do have a few trips planned for the year!). I decided to go with the mavic pro thanks to suggestions and such positive feedback from fellow Steemians as my drone of choice! Now that the initial unboxing is completed, I've got a lot to learn regarding the laws and techniques as a drone pilot. :D Thank you to all my supporters on Steemit for making such a dream come true - I don't think I would have pulled the trigger and ordered my new gadget, if it weren't for Steemit. Thanks for watching - I hope to fly my drone this weekend if weather permits, so stay tuned!

YAYYY!! I'm so excited :D Hahaha I'm sure I might come across more than a few questions if you don't mind later. Your drone shots are awesome! I can't wait to take it out this weekend.. just charged it yesterday, I think next steps are to calibrate, right?
The user manual should guide you thru the process easily. But I believe you are correct. Which is a pretty simple task as well.
Getting used to all the controls will be a blast! I have no problem answering any questions!
Edit: I am also waiting for a pair of DJI goggles to use with the Mavic.. ordered them before Christmas and still waiting on them to show up here.
SO pumped for them, yet they won't deliver!

Lens filters are great! The Mavic does have some standard color enhancers onboard but yeah, I also utilize lens filters for glare reduction and what not.
You're going to want some more batteries if anything! Flying is so much fun if you have open room.

Exciting! I've been looking into this guy as well. I'm curious to see what you think of it as you test it out. I'm having a similar dilemma with mavic pro vs. air.

heheh sorry, I've been pretty busy on the weekends lately - travelled to friends weddings and hung out with them actually this past weekend!

hi!! :) I can't wait either.. there are so many possibilities with drone shots... I have been just admiring all those aerial photography and videos!!! I still went with pro because of the higher video quality and longer battery time. The air is smaller and lighter with a few extra controls and back sensors, but I think in the end the battery time/video was more important to me (plus mavic was on sale by a little, so pricing was more similar). Hope I made the right choice!! I debated this for like 3 weeks haha
