Dunglish Blog #1

Warning: This blog may confuse people who don't speak Dutch! ;)

Let me introduce my new blog. It's for everyone who can laugh hard at Dutch people that for no meter can speak English. In Holland we call that 'Steenkolenengels'. If you translate that wrongly (the Dutch way) you get something as 'Stone Coal English'. There is even an English word for it, namely 'Dunglish' and that is a contraction of the words Dutch and English.
If you Google it, you'll find some silly phrases that will make no sense to everyone who has no knowledge of the Dutch language, but become very funny found by the ones who have.

So now and than I will post some silly phrases and pictures with ridiculous Dutch versions of English outspeeches. I will number the posts, starting with #1 (this blog).

Let's start this first one (if you don't count in the rest of this blog) with a quote from a guy who became famous for speaking Dunglish. His name is Louis van Gaal, a Dutch football coach who managed under other the British Football Club 'Manchester United'.
In press conferences, he said sometimes things that the press did not quite understand. Dutch people did and we laughed us broken! :)
