Mount fuji

Mount Fuji is Japan's highest and most iconic peak, standing at 3,776 meters (12,389 feet). Located on Honshu Island, near Tokyo, it is an active stratovolcano that last erupted in 1707. Fuji is renowned for its near-perfect symmetrical cone, often snow-capped, making it a cultural and spiritual symbol in Japan. The mountain is a popular destination for hikers, particularly during the climbing season from July to September. It is also featured in countless works of art, literature, and photography, representing both natural beauty and cultural heritage. Mount Fuji is part of the Fuji-Hakone-Izu National Park and was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2013.
