Happy start of the week for everyone, today I share a delicious fruit from a friend's garden. "The grenade". It is a fruit when it is ripe, it has important properties and benefits for health well-being. Its content in substances such as vitamin C and flavonoids helps prevent cardiovascular disease, aging and some types of cancer. It contains numerous valuable ingredients such as flavonoids, elagitannins, punicalagina, ellagic acid, vitamins and minerals.
In addition, pomegranate fruits, seeds and shells are used in tea, salads enjoy a delicious edible fruit with many gifts.

I do love some fresh pomegranate! One of these days I would love to try growing a tree in our yard as I have seem a neighbor have one years ago. For some reason they cut theirs down, though. I'll have to look and see how long they take to grow here! :)
