Berrylicious Smoothie Bowl ๐Ÿ“

Good morning, and happy Fruits and Veggies Monday!

Today, I wanted to kick-start this new week with something fresh. Thus, what would work better than a berry-rich smoothie bowl? Unlike you may think, a smoothie bowl is very easy and quick breakfast to prepare, at least if you have a high speed blender!

Berrylicious Smoothie Bowl ๐Ÿ“

For the Smoothie:

1 small frozen banana
1 cup frozen berries (I used strawberries and blueberries)
1 large slice watermelon
1 scoop vanilla protein powder (I recommend MyVegies 100% Vegetable protein!)
approx. 3 tbsp water

Toppings:

chia seeds
whole-grain breakfast
cereal (I used rye and oat puffs)
nectarin slices

Method:

Place all the ingredients needed for the smoothie into a blender. Be careful with the amount of water, you can add more if the mixture is too thick, but it's harder to do anything if your smoothie is very liquidy! Now, blend everything until you have a smooth mixture, it should be relatively thick, so that it's easy to spoon!

Decorate the bowl with your favorite toppings and enjoy your breakfast creation!๐Ÿฅ„
I said breakfast, but of course, this would work at any time of the day!


In smoothie bowls, toppings aren't there only for the nice looks. I recommend using a source of fat, e.g. seeds, coconut or nut butter, in order to get a more filling smoothie bowl. Adding some fat will make you feel satiated longer!

I actually make smoothies every day for almost 2 years :D it has became such a habit that I can't really start a day without a smoothie :)

Share nutritional value

I don't really count macros etc. so I don't see a reason to share the nutritional information. It's not that necessary if you eat adequately healthy foods and don't have a specific goal in mind. :)
However, if you're interested, it's easy to count them according to the recipe! :)
