Festive Fijian Longan

Fruits Season is coming !!!! Oh Yeah!! My Durian is coming to me !!! Its start to drop already, however, the first batch drop doesn't taste good, usually, the second batch will be better and it will get better.

Today I had the privilege to buy a rare fruit, this young chap was parking behind my office, he opens the truck boot and starts selling. I and @gelfire stop and see what is he selling.

This rare fruit is called Brazil Longan, it was my first time seeing this fruit. Fucking hell, it blew my mind away, the young chap asks us to try it, the shell is so hard that i am using 2 fingers also could not open it. He demonstrates , gently using the teeth to bite the shell and break into half... I was like WTF... when i tasted the first bite, it was sweet and tender. It is really like longan or lychee.

He told us that his orchard in Telipok is bearing fruits and he stays around the area, so he wants to sell to get some extra cash. He works as Sales Executive in a famous FMCG company in KK. He sold to us RM10 per kilo.

We bought 15 Kilo's , LoL. But he gave us a generous discount. He ask me whether i open a shop, why buy 15 Kilos? Lol. I told him, it was for me and my families, he was shock, HAha.. Only fruits shop will buy that kind of many Kilos from Him.

Nonetheless, i went home indulge my new favourite fruit, i google and read about this. Apparently, some people don't call it Brazil Longan, its is called Fijian Longan. It makes sense a bit. How the hell a Brazillian Species of fruit can be planned here, as Brazil is the other side of the world that has a different climate than Malaysia. After studying a bit, Fijian Berries is the real name, Fiji ISland is closer to us, and apparently somebody claimed that a Bruneian brought smuggle the seeds to Brunei and plant it there and it works and bears fruits. So that's how it landed in Malaysia, Sabah.

I gave to some friends that I know he has loads of land, told him to plant it as myself[, I do not own lands like others do. Haha.
