White mangosteen is widely found in Lingsor area, West Lombok regency, West Nusa Tenggara. However, just before the harvest, the white color of this fruit faded and turned into a purple-like red mangosteen is usually the mangosteen kaligesing.

According to one of the white mangosteen farmers in Lingsar, NTB, Eka Surya, white mangosteen cultivators are still small. Though white mangosteen is very salable in the export market compared with purple mangosteen. The white mangosteen from Eka gardens has flown to Taiwan and Korea.
