White peach made in Okayama

It's melting hot in Tokyo. The combo of over 35℃ and crazy humidity does not let me go out.


In such days, I got a gift from Okayama - "white peach", we call 白桃(Hakuto) in Japanese.




These are NOT underripe, but "white peach" is literally white. White peaches are too beautiful to feel hesitation to eat these peaches. The smell is also amazing.


But before eating, here are some tipis to eat more delicious.


Tip 1. Cool peaches in the refrigerator for 2 ~ 3 hours

Definitely it is better to cool peaches before you eat. However, if you cool peaches in the refrigerator, they may lost juiciness and sweetness. So 2 ~ 3 hours are good in the most cases.

Tip 2. Peel peaches by hands

You can peel white peaches by your hands. Peeling by a knife may reduce the flesh of peaches. I recommend that you peel them by hands.


You should really try white peach made in Okayama. The season is from the end of June to the mid of August. Although there are some varieties of white peaches, all of them are delicious.
