The langka or jackfruit
Langka or jackfruit is one of my most favorite fruit. This fruit is common in some part of our country, which is the Philippines, and in some country in ASIA. Its outer skin are colored green with plenty of spiky thorns surrounded the entire outer part. This kind of fruit has a huge size and it can weight up to 30 kilos. Woah! so huge for a fruit like that, but its true. Its taste is really different and imcomparable, it is sweet when ripe, but bitter when unripe. Its smell is really good. That is why it adds more flavor. You can see this fruit as a toppings in a halo halo or in some kind of dessert and some times in a candy. If I saw a picture of this fruit, I cannot stop myself from craving for it.
I usually eat this fruit when I was young, because my mother knew that this fruit is one of my favorite. I can ate a 1 kilo of this fruit in one sitting session. You can't easily find this fruit in the market, because this fruit is seasonal and there are only few of it are available in our town's market.
