Friendship With The Night - Eye to Eye.

Many nights i toiled
Told myself the same stories
Often coiled myself to sleep
And up i woke, tuned to the torture of the shuddery mares of the night

They say achievers are friends of the night
But the night was my foe
Eye to eye, we saw not

Friendship is cunning
It rested peacefully till it realised night and i wanted to hunt each other's blood
Friendship stuck some pearls in the visual sockets of the night
The pearls were beautiful
Each day, i wanted to see them once more
So eye to eye, night and i saw

Until you really have something to achieve, you can't be friends with the night.
