Day 2

Today I went to the beach, just to see what it was about. It was empty and quiet, and the sky was covered by a grey perpetual cloud. A man was walking with his kid, scanning the earth with a metal detector. The beeps could be heard from a far.
It was a really melancholy moment, until she called me and I got to hear the sweetest voice in the universe for the first time in a long time. We didn't talk for long, but it really boosted my morale, and made me more excited about the next stop of my journey; Riga.

Immediately at the border I picked up some good vibes of Latvia. The countryside was rugged and the streetlights were covered in rust.
Riga is a nice city, even though it's a pretty basic european city. I'm going to spend the night at an Italian couchsurfer host, who seems nice, but not really the sort of company I'm looking for on this journey.
I want to meet some crazy, artsy, wild, renegades.
