Is it true smart people have less friends.

It is a proven trend that intelligent people keep fewer friends. In fact they all around seem to avoid human contact to a greater extent. One very extreme example was Nikola Tesla who had an IQ suspected to be over 200, died a virgin, and had a romantic relationship with a pigeon. (I suppose when you’re that smart everyone else seems to be as smart as a pigeon, might as well take a lover that doesn’t talk much.)
