Who is your Friend???..
The question "who is your friend" is one the simplest question anyone could answer, even children will supply the answer without wasting time but are those answers the correct ones??..
And today, I step out in somewhat magnificent fashion to ask this same simple question again, "who is your friend"??..This question is very vital in our every day life as it affects our relationship with the father(God).
Now let's digress a little bit to find out what the word "Friend" entails before getting down brass tacks and then try to tackle this issue once and for all.
The word "Friend" is derived from an old English word "Freond" and it means "one attached to another with feeling and preference"
The "Online Urban Dictionary" defines a friend as "Someone you love and who loves you, you both respect and trust each other.
"Webster dictionary" on the other hand defines it this way: A friend is a person who you like and enjoy being with, who helps or supports you for something.
The definitions provided above are all correct but not perfect because it is possible to love someone and that person could pretend to love you. You can respect them and trust them with all your heart but how can you quantify their love for you??..
You will all agree with me that some friends are good while some are bad. Dear readers, you must be careful when choosing a friend. There are some friends you must meet and there are some you must miss. The friend you choose will either add more blessings and impact to you or subtract from your blessings..SO TAKE NOTE!!...
The word of God says: "Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend". (Proverbs 27:17). The friends you choose can make your life better, they can also bring that precious life of yours to destruction.
So, the question now is, how can you locate or find a true friend in this wicked world???.....
Some of these friends come to us as "Wolves in Sheep clothings".
The Bible recognises and recommends a friend for everyone. I am glad to introduce you to that friend. He is a special friend. The earthly friend will die but he is a friend that will stay with you forever. He will never leave you nor forsake you.
He is a giver of joy, happiness and full protection
When you are with Him, all financial burdens would be taken away. You have limited communication with other earthly friends but when you are with Him, communication is free and without limitation and bounds.
He promised that when you cast your cares on Him, He would care for you. (1 Peter 5:7)
Knowing Him, is the end of all sickness, bad habits and all form of addictions.
JESUS is the name of this NEW FRIEND I want to introduce to you. "There is not a friend like the lowly JESUS, no not one". He knows about all your struggle and He will guide you till the end.
Finally friends, the best option I leave you with is to accept His friendly request into your life. Receive Him and enjoy all the good benefits He has in stock for you..please as you read this don't harden you heart..follow JESUS now and you'll never regret it..REMEMBER!!..!!
