Welcome to the #fridaysrock on Tuesday! Thanks to @nat-expressions who initiated #fridaysrock we can share and post photos of our minerals. Like she has suggested we can do that any day of the week. So, I am taking the opportunity to show today photos of the rose quartz.
Unlike the other minerals that belonged to my son, this chunk I got as a present from a friend coming back ftom Switzerland.
The label stated that it came from Madagascar. The biggest deposit of rose quartz but is in Brazil.
Rose quartz colour varies from pale pink to darker. Mine is pale pink.
Rose quartz is a popular gem material.
In 2016 company Pantone introduced Rose Quartz together with Serenity as Pantone colour of the year.
The colour in their range is PANTONE 13-1520 Rose Quartz.
