Rain Cloud? (Original poetry) | My Entry to the #FreeWrite Monday Prompt (key)

Greetings, everyone
This is my entry to the #freewrite 5-minute exercise hosted by @mariannewest. See details here.
A long tiring hot day that threatened to become a real drag was cooled off for some vital minutes and drove me to write this.

Rain Cloud?

Today at noon
with an empty stomach,
a dried throat,
tired feet, and
a restless key jumping in his pocket
he felt—for exactly 8 minutes
(enough to go through the long dusty bumpy road)
a mighty presence in a cloud.

A sweaty old stranger,
who was coming the other way,
looked up at the sky and down at him
and wondered aloud,
Ain’t this rain cloud strange?
He looked at the old man
held the key in his pocket

and smiled.

Very well! The image of the clink of the keys in the pocket contains an omen, a kind of bad omen:
"a powerful presence in a cloud"

Thanks for stopping by, paisana.
Hopefully, it will be a good one. Clouds, like anything in nature, can translate into different meanings depending on who "reads" them or the context. As for the key(s), they can be very distrating and alarming, especially if you want to focus your attention on something else.
