The Timely Warning : A Freewrite Poetry.

He wouldn't bite, tear or scratch
Kept staring, never moving
A streak of sweat, littered my face
And I for once stared at the beast
All thoughts pointing upward
While the beast looked downward.

Gaining my confidence, I foolishly fell for it
Expectant for a gesture, waiting for an act
And what good can come from big bat
Fire breathing, fragile like a cat
Too much look on me, I goofed
Funny evil looking thing did too.

Interrogation, what are you o big monster
From the sea, air, land, wherever
Won't you give an hint, from which area
Son of man is scared, looking at something bigger
A sign, movement, gesture whatever
Will sure ease the tension lower.

A fairy godmother gone rogue
Defied heaven's order to come this low
Danger is near son, find safety, go!
Shortest time on earth I have, go!
Defied heaven's order to come this low
From the benevolent dragon 🐉, tears starts to flow.

I loved it!
Wow. This had an impact on me I did not expect... you left it open and we do not know whether the boy heeded the warning, or whether the dragon is crying because he knows the boy will not ... or, is there a reason this boy must be spared, or MUST NOT be spared, in the opinion of Heaven? Very impressive!
I really love it when I put my readers in dilemma of picking sides. 😁 😎.
Pick your choice.
Nice to see a reply here ma'am.
Thanks.
