RE: The Interview Series - Introducing @Byn
Oh! I was expecting that! It's a pleasure to read @byn's interview, since she's one of the most creative minds I found on Steemit.
I relate so much with losing interest in something one time I reach my initial goal, but in general I'm quite erratic and I'm used to lose interest in everything after a while and going for something else. Lot of things started and not finished!
I have partially to disagree about bid bots. Steemit is like a market where everybody is a seller and none is a pure buyer. If you're kind, you buy other's content as you sell yours, but sometimes what you offer stays unsold and unnoticed in the vast, chaotic square. So, bid bots can be a way to recover at least the investment of time and effort. (Keeping in mind that nothing is free and the first to earn in that are always the bots).
Finally:
What motivates you or keeps you going when you start to lose the energy/inspiration/motivation for a creative endeavor? What habits do you feel help keep you on track?
Attention from other people. Being supported.
Habits helping me to keep myself on track? If I'd know them, I'd keep on track :P
Thank you @marcoriccardi
I don't know enough of the technicalities of bidbots to argue them. I may get to a point where I just give up and use them myself, to be honest. I don't know if I can get past my own thoughts to do so, but I might get desperate enough at some point. If it comes down to having to go get a crap job because I have no work experience (stay at home mom for 25 years doesn't play well in the job market here), then I might just give up and go the bid bot route.
It just feels frustrating as hell to see people raking in money through bots instead of through actual content creation. I really don't begrudge anyone trying to get things rolling, but it is frustrating to see those who don't appear to even be trying. Posting shit posts with no effort behind them just to get the $$$.
At any rate, it really doesn't matter if the bidbots become the only way to go, then I guess that's the way it is. I still made more here than I ever have from other blogging projects, so I'm happy. I love the community and the support I've found here and that is worth a LOT.
Absofreakinglutely.
