RE: For NaNoWriMo: The Field of Blood, part 17
A cordial greeting and big thank you for that big compliment ... I read Treasure Island and a lot of the other classics growing up, and they certainly are a part of my well of resources! One of my favorite authors, Arthur Conan Doyle, of course made a household name of a certain detective by publishing serially in The Strand ... so, I have adapted his strategy (and at some point, you may read that Mr. Holmes and Captain Hamilton have a common ancestor ... but that isn't quite ready for the world yet ...)
The Field of Blood was completed on Nov. 21, so, yes, I have been offering the blocks I wrote daily between Nov. 1 and Nov. 21 since Nov. 21 -- 19 blocks in ten days in order to be finished posting by Nov. 30, the last day of NaNoWriMo. The conclusion is actually going to be posted up in about two hours. Meanwhile, The Posture of Innocence has a framework -- I'm using the daily freewrites to link it all together! BUT, what makes all this work is that I stay up and put in about 3-4 hours of writing every single day when I have projects, like I did when I was a professional journalist ... burn the midnight oil and put the stuff out! BOTH will be on Amazon Kindle by Dec. 20, Lord willing, joining their elder sibling, Black, White, and RED All Over, which is live now!
