Robes fill judicial lockers
Justices to wear them
Judicial scholars decisions
The Rule of Law

Justices to wear them
Listen to each side and study
The Rule of Law
To determine a just outcome

Listen to each side and study
Both parties plaintive pleas
To determine a just outcome
Their opinion considered final

Day 174: 5 Minute Freewrite: Thursday - Prompt: robes by @mariannewest

very nice wardrobe and robes

Hehe, you're right. That did sort of come out like a poem :)

I like how the regimented nature of the lines reflects the seriousness of the subjects - lawyers and justices - in this poem. Maybe it is also a little Kafkaesque, which always tends to tick the boxes for me. Clever write!

Justices and Judges take their responsibility to heart and don't mess around. I suppose it has a Kafka-vibe, in that they stick to the script and never deviate from it.

Wow, I hadn't thought about it as judicial robes! I loved the poem!

If you haven't seen yet, this is today's prompt!
