The Earth is dying, have you not heard. Everybody needs to do there part in trying to save our resources.
The garbage we throw, has no place to go.
We can dig a hole and cover it, but it's still there.
We recycle plastic, in tons of square bales.
While turtles get tangled in six pack discards, littering our seas.
Our City recycling center only wants certain plastics, if you put the wrong stuff in the can, they don't pick it up and leave you a note.
If you do that too often, they give you a ticket.
I hear there's a trash island, floating in our oceans.
Probably killing our blue whales and great whites.
When will we learn to stop killing our Earth? 🌎

Oh, yes!! You hit that nail on the head. I wish we had never invented plastic. It has done more damage than good.
While that may not be true, we as humans have never learned to harness ourselves in anything we say or do.
Sigh.

True words indeed Uncle Bruni. Plastic bags are being outlawed here by July 1 and paper bags will be used at the grocery stores. Will that even put a dent in the damage we have done to the oceans with the plastic and other garbage? U&R.
It might be too late. Our City is too busy with trying to keep Chick-fil-A out of the airport. Stupid government!
