Don't you just hate it when your cable and internet goes out on Friday night, and the cable guy can't show up until 11:00am Sunday morning?
Well that's my life this morning!
Then Ricardo says that the equipment that we have is too old, and his new equipment doesn't use screw in cables anymore, and he has to run a new cable and drill through the brick.
He could have used the phone jacks but they are in different rooms and too far from our TV. So right now he's running a cable under our eves and he just punched through the wall in the living room.
So if all goes right, after he finishes, we'll have a new wireless modem, a new DVR, and a new remote that has numbers on it.
Then the next five hours I'll spend inputting the new wireless password into my phone, laptop, printer, Ring doorbell, Debbie's phone, Debbie's laptop, my vibrator, FitBit, cat water bowl, cat food bowl, and the refrigerator.
Ain't technology grand!

My daughter just went through that exact same thing with the outdated cable stuff. My husband used to work as a satellite dish installer and we still have tons of old supplies and equipment around. I suppose it's finally time to convince him to throw it out since its not even being used anymore!
Every six months the city picks up large items for free like mattresses, couches, bbq pits, and refrigerators, I always see those big satellite dishes out on the curbs, two weeks before pickup date.
Yes, good use of the hate prompt.
Especially on a Sunday. 🤗
We had to upgrade too.
We could tell an easy job, turned into a hard job, when he saw our old equipment. 🤣🤣🤣
The list of electronics that needs upgraded is daunting! I definitely do hate it when these upgrades have to occur.
The wireless password was a big pain in the arse to update on the Ring Doorbell. I had to unmount it, to press a button at the rear of the unit. 😞
Quite a nasty thing on a weekend.
Anyway, here's something to distract you from your problems:
