This prompt, the number forty-four made me think of my dreams which began when I was 14 years old. The dreams included repetitive numbers and they always came true the following day. I should call them nightmares because bad things happened. My family and friends call them premonitions.
My first dream was about my maternal grandfather who in my dream was in his kitchen, throwing up blood before falling to the floor. The time on the kitchen clock was 1:11. The following morning my mom got a phone call that my grandfather had died, exactly the way that I saw in my dream. My grandma said that he took his last breath on the kitchen floor right before the ambulance arrived, between 1:00 and 1:15 A.M. I have always wondered if his time of death was 1:11.
In 1998, I had a dream of a plane that caught on fire in the air, and I could see the burning bodies and the number 111 on the wing of the plane. The next morning I turned the TV on and there was a special report. Swissair Flight 111 had caught on fire and crashed in the water, killing all onboard.
These are just two examples of hundreds. When I look at the time for no special reason, it is usually a repetitive number and 99% of the time it is 1:11.
This cute gif is brought to you by @brisby. Thank you!
No, I wasn't very close to him. He lived 12 hours away so I hardly ever saw him. But the time we did spend together was unforgettable. : )
This was my first one and it did feel like a nightmare. But after this one, I just saw them as "matter of fact."
It is not about how frequently we meet someone but about how we feel about eachother. If I read what you say you were close to him. I think he is the key or the guard of your dreams.
I felt close to an uncle even I did not see him for years, by now he died years ago and he is still in my mind.
They were scary in the beginning but not now. I had them pretty frequent for 20 years, ages 14-34. For the past 15 years when things break down, like my car, or large appliances, I look at the time and it is usually 1:11, 11:11 or 5:55, etc. It is normal for me to look at the time when things go wrong and I just say, "It figures."
Thanks for the prompt and I wish you and yours a Merry Christmas @elizacheng! : )
Numbers and patterns, sounds and shapes, seems
like it's all geometry, everything ❤
Blows one away don't it! I've had some similar things
also happen over the years.

Were you close to your granddad? Did all these dreams made or make some sense to you? I hope you do not see them as nightmares any longer.

It's kinda scary to dream this kind of dreams. How often you have them?
