This is a sculpture of Wood Ducks that I found last summer at a park.

What is the fascination with ducks? I just don't understand.

When I was a child and playing with a friend at her house, her mean mother walked in the room and yelled, "Look at this mess! You better get your ducks in a row, Missy!" What? We weren't playing with ducks and even if we had, why did she want them all in a row?

I was playing frisbee with a friend and one was coming towards me and my friend yelled, "Duck!" That frisbee almost took my scalp off and I fell down. My friend came running and said, "Didn't you hear me yell duck?" "I heard you! I looked around and didn't see one."

My mom took me to the bowling alley and the girl at the desk asked us if we wanted duck pins or ten pins. What the heck do duck pins have to do with bowling?

And the one I heard the most was, "If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck and quacks like a duck...it's a duck!" No kidding! DUH! But what's that got to do with anything?
