Day 628: 5 Minute Freewrite: Wednesday-Prompt: frayed power chord
Already on probation at work, he couldn't miss another day.
He got his old power saw, and the frayed power chord he saw.
Ted remembered the old saying, "A faulty chord should be ignored."
His blood, sweat and tears, poured onto the chord.
Ted got a shock, throwing him hard as a rock onto the dock.
Ted was grateful to be alive, and for the buzzards leaving him one eye.
With a sigh of relief he said, "That shock sure did clean my clock!"
For the rest of Ted's life, with bitter strife.
Ted happily sang, "A, ah, aye! An eye for an eye!"
