She shuffled to the kitchen, her back she was a bitchin'.
Italians don't miss their Sunday family meal, even when she is not on an even keel.
"It will be made by hook or by crook!" By memory and taste, never by the book.
She sang "Ave Maria" and sipped her wine, now it was finally time to dine.
They ate in the cozy nook, and praised her for being a wonderful cook.
Gracie and a kiss would not be remiss.
"Arriverderci to all." And then she fell, her head hit the wall.
Maria Theresa had made her final curtain call.
Oh no!!! She sipped too much wine!!! Another one who fell victim to family obligations :)

Ha, that's me in the kitchen whenever I hear "This is good; write down the recipe this time" - made by hook or by crook!" By memory and taste, never by the book. My cooking is like snowflakes. Can't create the same thing twice even if I try!
