Day 25: 5 Minute Freewrite Challenge initiated by @mariannewest-Prompt: Itching

A city girl named, Beattie could hardly contain herself as she drove to the country with her friend, Anna. They were on their way to Anna's grandmother's farm. Beattie imagined being able to pet a little lamb, a goat, a pony, and holding baby chicks and ducks. The bumpy, unpaved road signaled their arrival to the farm. After meeting Anna's grandmother, Beattie politely asked, "Would you please tell me where the barn is so I can visit with the animals?" The grandmother laughed as she handed Beattie a big bowl and replied, "We don't have any animals but we do have a lot of berries, and you are going to help us pick them. Little did Beattie know that this was the beginning of her summer from hell.

Two days later Beattie began scratching her whole body, even her arm pits were itching. Red bumps followed, covering her body. The doctor announced that she had Chiggers! Those itchy, tiny bugs were literally crawling under her skin. The calamine lotion dotted every inch of her body as she walked like a scarecrow. Her friends avoided her like the plague. The non-stop itching eventually drove Beattie mad; she snapped. She wildly ran around, waving a sharp knife in the air and screamed, "You damn itchy, bitchy, witchy bugs will....

The timer went off; time to stop typing.
