Day 151: 5 Minute Freewrite: Monday-Prompt: medium
My son and his family live 2.5 hours away driving distance and I haven't seen them since last Christmas. My daughter and her family live 10 hours away driving distance, and I haven't seen them for 9 months. When my daughter and her family come to visit, we all meet at my son's house. It is easier for everyone involved and is a happy medium.
This past weekend was one of those times. My granddaughter (my daughter's only child) just turned 2 and she had a blast playing with my son's 2 boys, ages 7 and 5. Every 10 minutes she stopped, rolled her arms and yelled, "Bus! Bus!" That was her cue that everyone was to sing a song with her, "The Wheels on the bus," which has a gazillion verses. When we all went to bed and the room was finally quiet, that song kept playing over and over again in my head. It wouldn't have been so bad if I didn't have a migraine. My head kept going round and round, beep, beep, honk, honk, swish, swish, wah, wah, and may favorite, shh, shh, shh. We spent the whole weekend together and the time flew by way too fast. I wish we were all together again singing Bus! Bus! Hopefully that will happen during the summer in August. YAY!
Oh this is sweet, although I'm sorry you see each other so rarely and also that your head hurt.
Hopefully you get to see them more!
I'm in charge of delivering the latest prompt, so here ya go:

Thanks for your comment and the prompt delivery! : )
Aww, how sweet and also sad. I truly hope you all have a get-together soon.
Thanks! I look so forward to it and with a blink of an eye, it is over. I am kind of down now but at least I will hopefully be with them again in 4-5 more months. : )
I hope it happens sooner :-)
Good time had by all.
