Unclaimed Property $$$$$ Arrival!

The long-awaited day has finally arrived! I received a letter today from the Pennsylvania Treasury that I have been waiting for. My son found the link for unclaimed property months ago and encouraged me to go ahead and find out what was waiting for me. Supposedly, it's under $100. I figured it wasn't going to be a whole lot of money, but I finally went ahead and filled out the paperwork and mailed it in about six weeks ago.

Drumroll..... Here is a copy of my unclaimed property reimbursement.

Well, it's money I wouldn't have had otherwise. What can I do with $5? I can probably pay myself back for one of these over the counter poison oak treatments that I've been purchasing since my exposure July 4th. It almost covers the Calamine Lotion that I picked up at the pharmacy today after work and I'm experimenting with. I just had to laugh, the check is not worth the drive to the bank, fortunately the bank app on my phone allows me to scan a check right into my bank.

I cannot even begin to guess who the person or company is that owed me that $5.

Curiosity made me do it. I began to think that they forgot about me until the check showed up today. Have you ever checked unclaimed property website in your state if you are in the United States?
